Hailing from the streets of South East London, Spencer grew up under the bright lights of the early seventies and early eighties Funk, Soul, and Disco scene. His father, Errol Kennedy, is the original drummer from one of the most prominent black UK British groups of that time, Imagination. Having been surrounded by a musical family at birth and the industry at large, from a young age, it was apparent that Spencer had the gift and natural desire for showmanship.

 

He was deeply involved in the 90's London music scene, performing his original material and cross-pollinating well-known pop songs into his show, which caught London venues by surprise, leading him to run his live residencies at the famous Atlantic Bar, Cafe De Paris and exceptional venues around London. By the turn of the century, Spencer set up his first professional entertainment group, The Earth Lights Boogie Band, who quickly went on to become the most prolific event bands on the planet. The Earth Lights Boogie Band performed for some of the most exclusive VIP parties (such as Pierce Brosnan After Party, Tomorrow Never Dies, To supporting Robbie Williams at private NYE bash to closing the London Wrap Party for the London Olympics to the most significant corporate events in the world.

 

Due to popular demand, Spencer most recently Co-Founded and set up an exceptional boutique entertainment agency called www.thelightsinc.co.uk that caters to high end corporate and luxury private events. The agency features multiple genre-specific groups, and Spencer features as the lead singer for its rebrand and flagship band The Earth Lights. The Lights Inc is now a recognized global company and is one of the hottest party band suppliers who are pre-booked well into the next few years.

Spencer redefines the role of lead singer with his preternatural showmanship and his ability to connect with the entire audience regardless of its size. Behind the microphone, he bridges musical genres and time-zones, whether it's soulful crooning, raspy rock screeching, or modern dance vibes, he covers an entire gamut of musical culture and tones. Most recently, Spencer was featured for the first time as Spencer Kennedy, on the Neverdogs latest album "Details"
